About Custom Homes QLD
We are not a project builder and we are not a display village. We are a long-form journal about the houses Queenslanders actually commission: one-off, climate-aware, and stubbornly individual.

Where the masthead comes from
The earliest public record of customhomesqld.com.au is a Cairns designer-builder working out of Caravonica, later at 22 Aroona Street. The old site used Dosis, a lime stripe, a full-bleed tropical photograph and a catalogue of houses named for Australian timbers: Aspen, Banksia, Cedar, Ironbark, Kauri, Mahogany, Tamarind, Teak. The copy was short and specific. Custom Homes Queensland, it said, brought a fresh approach to construction in the Far North and made modern, stylish, functional spaces that took tropical surroundings seriously.
A 2015 owner testimonial thanked the team for building through rain, cyclones, Christmas and Easter, and for a house near the beach that other local builders could not match. That is still the brief: weather first, individuality second, speed without cheapness.
What we publish now
The domain is no longer a sales office. It is an independent publication covering Queensland custom homes from Palm Cove to the Tweed. We write for owners, architects and small builders who need more than a display-home brochure: QBCC and contract literacy, cyclone and flood detailing, Queenslander and tropical planning, and honest cost and construction essays.
We keep the old visual language — Dosis, lime, grey type, photography first — because it already looked like a Far North studio, not a national franchise. We keep the timber names as a design catalogue essay rather than as floor-plan SKUs.
Independence
Custom Homes QLD does not take secret payment for coverage. Guest essays are edited to the same standard as staff work. Any paid or commercially placed link is marked rel="sponsored" and disclosed. We are not licensed to give building, legal or financial advice; check the editorial standards and talk to a QBCC licensee before you sign.
Corrections, pitches and complaints go to support@worldwidebacklinks.com or the contact form. If you want to write, start with the write-for-us guidelines.
